An Evening with the Astronomer Royal for Scotland
Thursday 12 November, 7.00pm
Join us at Linlithgow Museum for a very special evening with Professor Catherine Heymans, Astronomer Royal for Scotland. Discover the fascinating mysteries of our universe in an engaging talk, followed by a Q&A session and an opportunity to purchase her book, How to Design a Universe, and have it signed.
Tickets: £10 (£8 for museum members) – available from the museum shop or by email reservation. Spaces are limited, so book early!
Iron Age Linlithgow

Step back in time and discover what life was like in Scotland during the Iron Age!
Created in partnership with the Scottish Crannog Centre, our latest temporary exhibition explores the fascinating world of Iron Age communities, from the remarkable crannogs built over Scotland's lochs to the everyday skills, crafts and traditions of the people who lived here over 2,000 years ago.
Whether you're fascinated by archaeology, curious about Scotland's ancient past or simply looking for something different to explore, there's plenty to discover.
Admission is free. All welcome!

Linlithgow Embroideries
Beautifully embroidered by local crafter Christine Anderson, these remarkable panels capture Linlithgow High Street as Christine remembers it from her younger years. Filled with charming details and personal memories, they offer a fascinating glimpse of how much the High Street has changed over time. You'll find the embroideries in the corridor just outside the museum — be sure not to miss them on your visit!
